I've have a starry Blenny and orange stripe goby in qt for some time. I held off on starting treatment because I was thinking about adding one more before treating. I didn't.

30 days of copper power 2 doses of prazi (yesterday was last) and today was the day to go to display. No previous concerns whatsoever.

Today I noticed this red mark on the goby mouth and it seems to be holding mouth open. Should I hold both in qt still? Seperate the two leaving goby in qt, Blenny to display?

Research has pointed to a bacterial infection. Is this connected to the prazi?

Treatment options?

I would keep them both in QT. Move to antibiotics for 10 days. Since the mouth is infected I would use sulfaplex + Kanaplex + Furan-2.

Hooked up with some strange at the fish club last night. You got to keep an eye on that.

Picked up the meds today, I took a quick look at the instructions and they have different dosing instructions and water change for furan, please see schedule below and let me know if this makes sense. Alternatively should I be using the focus binding method for the seachem products?

furan 2
day 1 dose
day 2 dose
day 3 25% wc
day 3 dose
day 4 dose

kanaplex
day 1 dose
day 3 dose (after wc)
day 5 dose
(max 3 noted on instructions)

sulfaplex
day 1 dose
day 4 dose
day 7 dose

day 11 fish out if fish appear healthy.

Anyone with experiance stacking these meds? Is my schedule correct or should I be staggering them? Will the wc mess up the others?

I'm on day 4. Noticed the water is cloudy. Quick search pulled up a few posts indicating bio film might be breaking down meds. This is a long term qt so I guess I'll have to break it down and sterilize it.

Should I mix the seachem meds with focus in the hopes the fish ingest the meds?

Is it cloudy or yellowish?

Furan-2 stains the water heavily so it is normal to be yellow/green.

Are you doing the recommended water changes?

Both cloudy and yellow, I can't see through to the back because it's so cloudy. Yes 25 percent day three. Another 25 today.

I have never had antibiotics cause a bloom or cloudiness. @Big G @4FordFamily do you have any ideas here?
Yes, I've had bacterial blooms develop when mixing meds. Best to counter this with both an airstone and a powerhead aimed up to the surface where it is actively rippling the water surface. Maracyn 1 & 2 are known for this and I try to avoid using them because of this possible condition.

I'm susing kanaplex sulphaplex and furan 2. I have an aquaclear going and an airstone.

A powerhead aimed up at the surface creates far more and better O2 exchange.
