I realize they change as the grow. He is starting to develop colors other than red but sometimes I see this reddish spot on his tail. Is this something to be worried about?

Looks very much like a prick or injury and suspected of foxface, I would not Doubt if mimic got testy or too close and found out what those spines can do.
Keep an eye on it as it should heal on its own. In the event it becomes infected, would not be a bad idea to have Seachem Kanaplex on hand.

Ok so looking at the fish today. Will try n post short video. It's almost like these red spots and streaks are UNDER the skin. You can't see them all the time only when he turns certain angles

Looks like streaks from vitamin deficiency but also happens when salinity becomes very high.
What foods are you feeding?
And. . what is your salinity ?

Salinity is 1.024. I have not zeroed my refractometer in a year or so but salinty hasnt really changed the entire time the tank has been up.

I feed nori twice a week but have never seen him really go after it. I feed flakes once in a while, pellets once in a while and frozen every day. Mysis shrimp and krill alternating every other day. Once that is gone I will buy other frozen whatever the store has. Sometimes they have different stuff.
