Are these something I should be concerned about? The only recent change in the tank is a new coral beauty angel. In the first day or so it picked on the toadstool but then left it alone.

Are they bite marks? Parasites? The brown band around the base has been there for a few weeks, and was initially darker. When it first appeared, the toadstool was not extending and we thought it was preparing to shed, but it never got the glossy look that our other toadstool got when shedding.

Thoughts or advise appreciated!

Hard to tell on my phone but check to see if they can be blown off- I’ve seen red planaria flat worms on leathers

Just a thought

I tried blowing it off and scraping gently, no change. I wish I could get a clearer picture but it's in the back corner of the tank.
