I just got home and my foxface has red/brown spots on him. He has about 2-3 on each side. he is acting like normal. None of the other fish have these spots

Sorry that the pictures are so bad

I don't see anything in the pictures. It's possible that he fought with one of the tangs and got barbed a bit. You'll want to keep an eye on the red areas to be sure it doesn't get worse. If it does, you'll want to separate him in QT and treat with antibiotics.

Thanks for the help. Ill try to get a better picture. That's the same thing I thought initially, but the fact that its on both sides makes me think its something worse than a fight

Red blotches can indicate an infection -- id like to see clearer representations via photo if possible!

Looks like he hit puberty.....poor kid has zits! Kidding bud I'm not sure what those are. Maybe a parasite or something.

Looks like a red mark at the center of a sort of welt?

That reads like some sort of puncture or sting to me, but let Melypr1985 or 4FordFamily confirm . . .

Could you do a freshwater dip on him? I'd like to see how that effects the dots in the center of the "zits".

I can try to catch him, it's a small fish in a big tank. But if I do I'll give him a dip
pretty sure my foxface has something with him i did try to catch him the other day to move him into my bigger tang but he went wild and kinda ran into my longspine urchin hoping thats all it is hes acting normal still eating like a pig
