Red stuff growing over glove polyp?

I just noticed on one glove polyp there's this red algae like stuff that completely engulfed it. Its going kinda fast. Idk what it is, but I'm assuming i should just snip off the head? Thanks in advance

I am assuming you mean a clove polyp?

If its red then it might be cyano. I suggest posting a picture with white light so everyone can properly know what it is.
