Red stuff

Tank has had fish in it for about 4 weeks and I'm starting g to get some red stuff (algae)? On the sand bed. I know that is part of the new tank process but is there a way to at least combat it somehow?

ugly algae stages last about a year. combat it with stable/proper water parameters or chemicals

Also, keep that sand bed stirred and make sure the tank has good flow with no dead spots

I think that's it. These 2 spots are where there is very little movement of water. I will redirect 2 of my return loc-lines towards this area and maybe turn up my powerheads. They are both at 50% at the moment, and maybe redirect them as well.

Is it any good to siphon the sand a bit during the first stages ???
