Whew. I hope that’s what it is. My lfs usually does good with diseases. My buddy got one and he said it had bumps on it tooFirefish are pretty hard on their little bodies. They are constantly diving into dens, darting around the tank when frightened. Wounds on their bodies and torn dorsal fins are pretty common.
He got it from the same tank as yours?Whew. I hope that’s what it is. My lfs usually does good with diseases. My buddy got one and he said it had bumps on it too
Oh no!! That’s terrible!![]()

Does the red spot on your fish look like the spot on the top of my fish? If so, it is an injury. Firefish often get bullied, so that could be the problem.

It was sad, and I never trust lfs anymore. They told me the best bet for a peaceful fish was a neon dottyback. Three days later, I came home to that.Oh no!! That’s terrible!![]()
Yeah lfs sometimes just want to sell, they don’t care! My lfs told me I could have a blue tang in my 55g... that’s how I knew I can never trust them completely. Better to do research on your own. I hope your fish is doing better tho!It was sad, and I never trust lfs anymore. They told me the best bet for a peaceful fish was a neon dottyback. Three days later, I came home to that.

. I think it bled out through the wound, as I could see blood coming out into the water and the fish began to change color.I haven’t seen any blood but does this happen often? It sadly didn’t make it and died the next day. Im sorry! It sucks losing an animal. This only happened because another fish attacked it. I have never had this happen for any other reason.I haven’t seen any blood but does this happen often?
his whole tail was gone when I found him dead.Oh no!! that’s awful. Im sorry to hear that.Update. The fire fish died the next day of postinghis whole tail was gone when I found him dead.
That’s awful! I’m really sorry about that. It was probably being bullied by something if the whole tail was gone. What are the other tank mates?Update. The fire fish died the next day of postinghis whole tail was gone when I found him dead.
It has a yellow watchmen but he has no bottom jaw (still eats) and 2 black clownsThat’s awful! I’m really sorry about that. It was probably being bullied by something if the whole tail was gone. What are the other tank mates?
I have had clowns be aggressive to firefish in the past. They are probably the ones behind this unless you have a hitchhiker in the rocks doing it.It has a yellow watchmen but he has no bottom jaw (still eats) and 2 black clowns
