Red Threads coming out of sand bed

I have red like hairs that are coming out of sand bed when I tried to suck out with hose, they seem to go deep in sand bed and couldn't remove. Does anyone know what it is and is it safe?

Without photos it’s hard to say. But look up spaghetti worms harmless detritus feeders who live in the sand and release their little tentacles to catch food.

Sounds like hair worms. Good scavengers. Definitely reef safe
