Hey guys! Just started cycling my 10 gallon nano.

Not many hitchhikers on the cured live rock i got from the LFS but I've seen a couple of these tiny red tube like things and was wondering if anyone could ID them. They seem attached to the rocks and I haven't seen them move at all.

cover the ends with super glue gel ..they will send out strings to catch food and irritate corals...if it is a fowlr, it's ok

It's not, I was planning on adding corals. I've only had the rock in the tank for about 24 hours. Can I just take it out, dry the live rock in a bucket for a couple days and then soak it with acid/vinegar?

You don't want t do that, you will lose all the bacteria. Thus making it useless and needing to wait for it to be recolonized. Just take the part with the shell out of the water, shove the tip of the super glue gel into the end and squeeze some in. It won't hurt the tank at all, that's what we glue frags onto plugs with.
