Hello it’s been awhile since posted. I’ve been battling this red turf algae and it’s just getting worse. Any ideas of critters or potions that get rid of it. Thanks Dustin

Thank you, any urchin in particular? I have a short spine now he eats coraline.

My short spine ate it of the walls the foxface really is the one taking care of it in my tank.
I would have gotten a pincushion by my lfs only had a short spine.
A pincushion would be at the top of list.

Take a look at this thread detailing numerous members different attempts to battle turf algae. I found Aiptasia X to be pretty successful, however its difficult to use it to kill large patches. I tried vibrant and had a ton of sps brown out, so now I am just addressing small patches that pop up with Aiptasia X and my CUC.

Awesome I’ve gotta travel about 60miles to find a decent fish store anymore. Hope they have an urchin that’ll help. Thanks everybody

Ninja starfish go right through it
Hope your getting rid of it, I have it too and I’ve try everything red tuxedo (3) Mexican turbos (5) and other cleanup crew (30+ all together) with control but not eradication. Hi, hope you’re winning this battle, I also have red turf algae and I have try red tuxedo (3) Mexican turbos (5) and other cuc ( 30 +) on a 30 long and they have trimmed it down but no eradication, so I’m trying something that a lot of people will frown upon.

i have to wait until it works 100% and also to see how my corals and fish do, I don't want to be responsible for someone killing the
tank.
