Red velvet fins

@Humblefish. Good evening to all. This is one of my wrasses that I have in qt I notice something going on with the fins just started prazi tonight wondering if it’s something I need to worry about ? plan on doing copper power after prazi.

Was it that way when you purchased it? Silly question, I know.

If they’re peaceful I suppose it could be flukes or an infection (hard to tell from photo) but that doesn’t look like fluke damage to me, rather a chunk taken out by an angry tankmate.

Was thinking the same but was not sure he came in that way from the importers.

Some of the fins look frayed, which is a possible symptom of flukes or a bacterial infection.

Have a next question a good friend of mine that just called me and told me that just got me a purple tang Can I put him right into prazi as I already started dosing ?

Fish can go from zero to full-strength right away with Prazi-Pro. It's copper that has to be ramped up gradually. Prazi-Pro does its work in about 24 hours; the second dose is to take out any young flukes newly hatched from the eggs that the first dose missed.

Of course, if your fish are on their second dose of Prazi-Pro, they'll need to go through another, so you can wipe out any eggs on the purple.
