My volcano sponge is kept in a cave like atmosphere with very little flow. I feed it Oyster Feast. It is covered with white single filament fingers. Have i done something wrong? There is next to nothing on the net except it should not be sold for personal aquariums. Water is cloudy because I tried to blow the fuzz off with turkey baster. Some did blow off.

It looks like there is superficial tissue loss. I would bump up the flow a bit. Feed it a couple times a day. Stir up the substrate also. Sponges do well on the microfauna that gets kicked up. If there is crud settling it on it, blow it off with a baster. It is not in bad shape so it should recover.
