Red worm? On new French Angelfish

I just received this French Angelfish today. I observed this red thing under its gill plate. Anyone able to identify it and best treatment plan. Thanks.

Pic fuzzy but not sure if thats a worm or something it ate hanging from gill plate or inflammation.
Need clearer pics

I tried to edit the pic as it was the best I could do. Fish doesn’t stop moving. Whatever it was it is gone now. I will keep a close eye on it. I had literally just released it into QT when I saw it and took the pic. Hadn’t been fed, but possibly puked up something it was fed before being shipped. If it returns I’ll try to get closer pic. Thanks.

Im thinking food, likely algae and how is breathing- Normal or labored?

Breathing and activity seem to be really normal and healthy. I figured if some kind of red worm parasite was prevalent you or Jay would say it is probably “such and such”. I’ll watch him closely and if I see anything I’ll reach out again.
