Reddish/purple stringy algae?

Help ID this red/purple algae growing on my rock, and is it good, bad or okay.

Cyno bacteria, is your tank new ?

Cyano; bad and search this site for methods to control it. Many reefers suck it up and control water parameters and flow to get rid of it. If your tank is relatively new it could be another phase of the "uglies."

I've fought that scourge! More flow, reduced nutrients worked for me.
