For almost a year my tank has been in a state of limbo. I had a massive crash at the end of last year and lost all of my SPS. Since then I have been a bit gun shy on restocking my collection. My job pulls me away from my family and tank for sometimes up to 3 months at a time. My wife does her best, weekly water changes, etc. But she doesn't have the eye of a hobbyist. No fault to her, she has a busy job and a house chores double when I'm not home. Needless to say, I have been restraining myself from loading my tank with SPS frags for long time and have been trying to figure out what to do with my tank, and ways to make it easier for when I am gone. When the crash happened, all that survived were my soft Corals. Well lately, I've been thinking about going all softies and LPS. My first few tanks were this style but it has been so long since I've done this, I kinda forgot how and what I'm looking for. Here are my tank stats:
Tank- 60"x30"x24" approximately 120 lbs of mixed rock. (Pukani, Fuji Plate and branch) 3"-4" of Tropic Eden Reeflakes smaller grain
Lighting- 5x Radion XR15 Pro G3
In Tank Flow- 2x Ecotech MP40 QD 1 on each side with 1 closer to the front and sand, 1 towards the back and closer to the top. Running on the Nutrient Export Mode (65% all day) Lagoon (50%) at night
Sump- 36"x27"x20"
skimmer- Tunze 9415
Return- Ecotech Vectra L1 - also feeds a manifold which has an 80w UV and the refugium ( just rock at this time). Runs at 75% power
I have a Pax Bellum N18 coming in any day now which I will run cheato in and the fuge I will be planting eadible macros for my tangs. I may drop my skimmers run time to 50% or run it dryer depending on nutrients.
Dosing is handled by a Bubble Magnus and I'm dosing 70ml of Aquaforest 1,2,3
1 medium bag of carbon changed monthly/as needed, was running GFO in a reactor, looking to step away from that. (Pax Bellum and fuge)
Fish-
regal Blue Hipp (3")
Powder Brown (2 1/2")
Red Sea Sailfin (2 1/2")
Valentini Puffer (3")
Royal Garama
3 Bangaii Cardinals
2 mating Oscel.
Ruby Dragonet

Can you guys give me some inspiration, tips and tricks, great places to shop for and choices of Corals...

I guess the key would be going for easier care corals without dipping all the way down to crabgrass Corals.

Maybe some neon green Kenya Trees or hammer or torch corals?
Or some bright acid green toxic cloves?

instead of regular cloves, blue Anthelia or pom pom Xenia and colorful Majano's.
