Hi i saw this red/orange starfish in my tank and wondering if I should remove it. It's around the size of a penny.

Without a picture it's kind of hard to say, but you might want to look up Asterina stars online and then compare what you have to those.

Yep, Asterina starfish. Some say good, some say bad. Bad IMO. When one pops up I remove it immediately.

Can you tell if its eating algae on the glass or not ? Leaving any tracks or anything ? In my pico I had them wipe out a few hundred dollars of beloved Zoa's within days before I caught it.. So I always just dispose of them at the forst sign of them unfortunately.

I've never seen any that were anything other than white. Do you have any red or pink corals that look like they've been getting eaten?
