my tank will be tang heavy. Many many tangs. I need a lot of rocks for fish security but I need the tank to have depth and look good to me

Tank dimensions:
92x23x23.

Here’s my tank right now:

How to replicate this?

I would really appreciate some help here.

I see this one. Would it be good for many tangs? It looks really open for more swimming space, but it might lead to stress from no territory?

What’s tang heavy
More than?

You get a good scape by not being afraid to take a chisel to the rock to break up those boulders. Then use acrylic rods and 2 part to hold a scape together once you find one you like. Don't settle.

Probably more about picking out the right tangs, adding in the correct order, acclimation boxes, luck and willingness to catch and remove and replace one if you get one that is particularly mean and FEED FEED FEED with the filtration to handle it.

Do you not like my current rockscape?

Man your redoing everything on your tank every other week. Doing soo it will NEVER be stable and your gonna have issues constantly.

Beat to leave and let be.

Thank you!

Keep in mind that tangs prefer to feed at mid to lower tank levels. They shy away from the upper 1/3 of the tank. So try to keep your open areas lower. Think "inverted" of the typical stacked rock aquascape. They love swimming around 4-20" off the sand and grazing at nooks and crannies.

It’s not for me no. The symmetry of it makes it feel very artificial.

But all that matters is what you like.

I’ve got 9 tangs in my tank, just added a gem tang. I dry stacked big rocks on the back wall with ground level extensions coming out. It allows swimming room, plenty of usable space for corals and lots of books and crannies for my tangs to hide in. The biggest is an 11 inch sailfin.

Ok. This looks really easy. I’ll just remove some of the top rocks and I’ll have much more swimming space. Thank you @DaddyFish and @kzenoni!

Thread is done!

Seems like you’re primarily set up for coral, which is nice. Perhaps move some of the coral from the front sand so you can add rock to make caves? I see a few shelf type hiding places, but not much for caves. I’m pretty new, so not sure my advice is any good. I only have one tang, a Kole, and he likes to hide in caves and under rocks where he can squeeze under.
