Hi Guys,

This question may have been asked many times but I tried the search button but couldn't get a definite answer.

I am going to start running ozone on my tank and from what i read, the magic number for ORP reading is to hit to 400 and switch off the ozone. Understand that both ORP and Redox measures the same thing, yet they are somewhat different as well.

As i am running a GHL P4 which measures the Redox instead, can i confirm that i should also aim for 400 for my Redox reading when i start the ozone?

Thank you!

I believe they are the same thing. ORP stands for Oxidative Reduction Potential. Redox is just shorthand.

Just be careful with ozone.
If the probe starts to drift you can end up adding too much ozone and killing a lot of the animals. I would keep the amount of ozone injected at a low rate and I would use a xyz command so that the ozone dosing is also limited in the amount of time it is running.
