Redsea 425 G2 refugium

Hi all,

I have a Redsea 425 G2 tank with an RSK600 and Redsea reefmat installed in my sump. Was thinking of having a refugium. Do you suggest it? if yes is there anyone running the same or similar setup who can show me how their refugium is set up?

Nope, as you'll probably find that between the ReefMat and RSK you'll have low nutrients already.

Was thinking that to be honest.. Thought would be a good addition to try harvest my copepods also as I have a copperband who isnt eating much mysis/aptasia and just copepods instead!

Other than running a refugium in a reactor, there isn't really a great spot for a refugium, either.

Actually, the 425 G2 has a refugium section designed into it.

It's one large media chamber and not necessarily well-suited for a refugium, but sure - you can use it.
