Hoping someone good with math can help me figure out how much to dose. I am doing BRS two part. I have the reefer xxl 750. Assuming I have 160 gallons of water after displacement. I am dosing 7.7 ml every hour of calcium and alk. Total Amount of each is 185 ML. According to BRS it would take 328 ML of calcium to raise 20 PPM. Now I have no idea how to figure out anything from here, lol. I should have paid attention in math class.

What is your current and target Alk and Ca? When correcting levels (not daily dosing), you need way more Ca than the Alk.

Sorry I am confused. Not really aiming for a target alk and cal. Havent tested calcium in a while just really monitoring alk with a hannah checker once per week. It sits right at 9.

Trace element mixes involve a huge amount of guesswork and assumptions that make no dosing level perfect, but if you want to follow their recommendation:

Test either Calcium or the Color Elements every week and dose all 4 Trace-Colors™ supplements on a daily basis.

Add 1ml of Color supplement for every 20ppm of Calcium added per 100 liters (25 gal) of aquarium water or for every 2g of calcium uptake.)​

Then you would add 3.6 mL of each additive per day.

My tank is fully stocked mixed reef. Have a clam and various sps and lps corals.

Trace element dosing is a pretty easy thing to experiment with, without spending a lot of money.
