Redsea Max E260 - missing cabinet part (H2)

Hi,

I am new to reef tanks. I purchased new redsea max e260 from LFS.

Today i opened the box to build the cabinet and i see only one part "H" (that goes at the bottom of the cabinet). There should have been 2 in the cabinet box.

There should be two H but i see only 1 in the cabinet box

I am very surprised by this.

Has anybody come across this situation?

I have the 750 white, so they put a white and a black H in there. The black is redundant. Do you by chance have the black cabinet? The white would likely not be supplied.

Well first off, welcome to the forum. The way they lay out parts in these boxes it's near impossible to have a part missing. Look around and double check. It's not a big part is it under something else? I've had similar with Ikea items. couldn't find a part and low and behold it got slid under the sofa some how.

Contact Red Sea if you can't find it.

His cabinet is not like the 750 or 625 where they add in a spare part as a filler so pieces don't move around.

@AZMSGT, Yes i did triple check and also asked my wife to look around (another eye just incase if i missed something very obvious).

At this time i have reached out to redsea support. Since its a weekend, hopefully i should get a response by Monday.

Wanted to utilize this weekend time to build few things.. But

Red Sea has been very responsive. While building I encountered 3 self inflicted problems (Because I am a guy, and I hate following instructions). Anyways Red Sea responded to my emails promptly, just for me having to admit my faults...but they would have been happy to send me my “missing” parts.

Some of the cabinet panels come in the box with the aquarium. I had to open both boxes and lift up the aquarium to find everything. Did you check both boxes?

Ah yes, i checked both the boxes.

Same thing just happened to me. I only got 1 part H instead of required 2.

Red Sea uses a part of the cabinet to rest the tank on for strength to prevent damage. Look under the cellophane wrap under the tank and the tank should be sitting on it.

Nm, I see in the pics it is a smaller part.

You are absolutely right. My fault for not reading everything before starting. I found that piece along with others under the tank. Excited just finished building my first Red Sea!!!

I had a similar situation, except I am missing the 2 small B4 pieces.
