also posted in nano forum but thought I would give local guys a shot as well.

all right I love this tank but one thing bugging me is the combo bulbs . I like being able to have blue light on by them selves at night. has anyone come up with a salutation for this ? and any tips with skimmer would be appreciated right now I have it off as I can not get *** to stop over flowing when on.
thanks

not looking to go full led . might just need to add cheap led strip of blue . just want the color not the growing power .

Look at current tru lumen led strips and timers can ramp up and down and they are dimmable

just found them on ebay 10 bucks verses 38 at champion guess I will hold onto my gift certificate . now I just need to get the skimmer squared away

ordered the tru lumen light strip of ebay and used my certificate to get the CURRENT USA SINGLE RAMP TIMER and a nano glass cleaner from champion lighting. now need the 12 v power supply . and need to dial the skimmer in.

I put one strip of tru lumen in my 130d.

They are supposed to be 450nm range. Looks good you can ramp it down all the way to 1%

At least with my controller you can determine min and max intensities. When mine ramp up they start at 1% and ramp to 100%. When they ramp down they go down to 1% and then into a moonlight phase for 2 hours. Here is a pic of my controller

That's awesome thanks for the help. I have mine on a timer I only put it on for about 2hrs cause it's always at 100%. Is there a benefit to have it on all night? I also have the same issue with the extra power head I got. Some coral like the extra flow others don't so I only have it on for a bit. Leaving it on too long also makes my anemone want to travel.
