RedSea Reefer 750XXL Sump setup

Hello everyone, I've been a follower of R2R for a long time now, and been following and reading through the forum for most of my queries and info.
I read couple of threads regarding sump setup and saw many conflicting ideas, tried to ask the reefer community around me and everyone had a different idea as well, I thought I'd make a post here with my specific issue and see what thoughts the forum would have about it.
So I have a redsea reefer 750XXL, as you know it comes with its own complete sump.
I'm not having any major problem with my sump, but I just wanted to see if there's any sort of modification I can do that will improve the efficiency of my sump.
Below is a picture of my current setup of the sump

So first is the drain section/overflow, then I have 4 filter cups that are currently mostly empty and I occasionally use some filter floss or poly filters when I over disturb my sand or whatever.
The water coming into this section is only from the emergency drain pipe, the main overflow pipe comes directly into my clarisea SK-1500 roller, after the clarisea to the left you can see some rock and I have an egg crate over there and made a refugium of that section, in the refugium section I also have a reactor running either GFO or active carbon, and I've also a manifold there just so I can have more water circulation in that area, after this section there's a big partition that comes with the redsea reefer sump that divides the area into 2 sections, the section in the back I have my skimmer running in and another reactor left to the skimmer that runs either GFO/active carbon, and at the last comes the return section.
So that's the whole sump setup I have now, I hope my explanation made the picture a bit more clear and more understanding.
So I would like to have any sort of suggestion that would improve my sump setup, I was thinking to cut out the filter cup section totally out and pull the clarisea further right, and make the rest of the front area into a large refugium. If anyone has any tip or advise into how I can change the sump to make it more efficient it'll be highly appreciated.

looks like the V2 sump? ? yeah some ppl do take out the filter cups for the roller mat. that would give you more fuge area.

but if it's not broken why fix it? are you have algae issues in the DT? why the need to change it? what do you hope to get out of it?

Devaji, I don't really have an issue, it's just that I think the area is wasted, and the water at that area is mostly stagnant since the overflow is directly connected to the clarisea roller, the only flow that area is getting is the outlet of the chiller. so if I cut out the area and move the clarisea to the right, I'll have a bigger refugium.
Right now I use GFO regularly, whenever the outlet of the GFO reactor gives more than 0.00 phosphates reading I take it as the GFO is depleted and I change it to fresh GFO, and I also do NoPox dosing every other day to control nutrients.
So with bigger Refugium I'll have less concern regarding that issue, and I'll be utilizing my sump.

ah now I see, well bigger fuge would be good. but if you dont want to mess around cutting that out ( not sure how easy or hard that will be) you could make a DIY upflow ATS easy to make and supper effective.
just a thought.
