RedSea ReefLED 90's with their mounting brackets

Anyone have concerns with how I mounted these, considering the "thumb screws" provided can't really be used with a tank that's fairly close to the back wall?

They are mounted this way because there's not nearly enough room between the back of the tank and the wall to be able to install these thumb screws.

My concern is that the bottom of the mount is in the water about 1/2"

Mine is too close to the wall too, and I've done the same. The lights haven't fallen off and I don't think I've killed anything over the last two years or so.
