Just put in a reefwave 25 in my e170 RedSea tank (around 40 gallon tank). I think I have a pretty good placement but I am curious if anybody has any experience with the strength of this or any wavemaker in a small tank. I set it to random waves with a max of 40% but not sure if that is too high or not for the fish. I don't have coral yet which will probably impact my decision on strength down the road.
Anybody have any advice on how you can tell if the wavemaker is too strong? Should I set it as strong as it can go before it starts to shift the sandbed too much? Or will the fish get ticked if I have it too high? Tanks!
