I'm following the setup instructions to a T. I've tried on Android & Apple devices, but both get "Error 201" every time I try to connect the gyre to the app.

The only useful thing I've read online up to this point is "contact customer support". However, it's the weekend & I'm sure I won't hear back for a solid 48 hours.

I had planned on buying the Maxspect F330, but wound up getting the ReefWave because that's what my LFS carries. I strongly regret this decision after discovering how common the setup issues are, which is apparently only usually fixable by sending an entirely new control setup.

Anyone happen to have a solution that's not going to require waiting 4+ days for them to respond & then ship a new one?

Bump.

Still have not heard back from support. It's the weekend, so I didn't expect to. But still frustrating to be dealing with this.

I the same proplem. I had to setup a network for 2.4ghz and not 5.ghz. After that I didn't have any proplems.

What do you mean? I'm not even able to reach to step where I select a home Wi-Fi network to connect it to.

I'm connected to my 2.4ghz network (I even forgot my 5 ghz one just in case) when I attempt to set this up.

I click the plus button to add device.

I select ReefWave 45.

I switch the mode to ReefBeat.

I press the connect button for 5 seconds until the blink.

The light continues to blink, so that should be fine.

I go to my wi-fi settings, select the RSWAVE network & get the message about no internet on that network.

I click Next in ReefBeat & get that Error 201. Every single time, no matter what I try resetting or doing differently. Really regretting this purchase, as it seems like this is the same issue most, if not all, people have with them.

I Setup a wifi network that was only aloud to use the 2.4 setting. Is what I did.

I also was putting in the wifi password and your suppose to actually type in the word "passward" for the password.

Red Sea also was helpful once there was a claim made. They did send me out a new control and that didn't help eithere.

What device are you using? I'm using Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra.

Oh, huh. I've been using "password" like the instructions say to, weird it would be "passward" instead. I'll try that when I get home. It didn't appear to be a password issue though, as it connected to the network just fine.

I've tried using my LG V60 (android), my wife's Iphone 11, & her iPad as well. No luck on any of them, exact same issue every time.

I had to go back to the store I bought it from. They couldn't get it to work either. We opened up a new box to try it & that controller worked just fine, so they swapped it out.

I did this also and I just get "no connectivity". Emailed support, they got back to me today, I tried again to no avail and am waiting for another response from them.
