Reducing Kessil shimmer.

Any way to reduce/stop the shimmer on the Kessil a80?

I like it but my royal gramma doesn’t, he hides all day long when it’s on, if I turn the return off and the powerheads, the shimmer stops and he comes straight out.

Stop surface agitation. However, maybe he’s only coming on then because pumps off equals feeding time.

I never reduce flow when feeding, he’s out all the time before lights on, and comes out when the pumps are off for cleaning, I just noticed the shimmer stops too, so I’m guessing that’s the issue.

just trying now with the return only off, see if he come out.? ...where was still a lot of shimmer, he never came out.

You need to counter the shimmer with lights that are less shimmery!!LOL I like to the kessill shimmer, but i agree its to much so i mixed them with my orpheks and its great!

Anyone with a Kessil light and a diffuser could try to see if the diffuser reduces the shimmer?
