reducing phosphate

Don't strip it from the water column too quickly if you have stoney corals. That will do them more harm than good.

If it's high, reduce it slowly.

thank you guys for advises.........well its being 10 days, Phosphate reactor has been installed....but one thing is strange....since i have installed reactor with rowa phos, the collection cup of my protein skimmer is getting filled with3 to 4 days .........dark reddish brown liquid is filling in the cup.....why is that? earlier collection cup used to fill every after 7 days........

I am almost positive it is coming from the Rowa Phos. It is difficult to rinse all of it out.

Phosphate rx worked to knockdown my initial phosphates. Have been using rowaphos after to maintain.

Make sure you rinse it well with RODI water before putting it in your reactor. That might explain the reddish color.

yes i did it with fresh water and then i started using it in reactor.....
Just rinsing it like this isn't sufficient. You need to put it into the reactor and then pump 3-8 gallons of water through the reactor; basically let it run until you're not longer getting color out of it.
