I have a Reef Octopus 150INT skimmer. Has been running for 6 months or so. For about the last two weeks, the output of the skimmer had been very strong and turbulent. It is producing good skimmate, but just has water noise from the turbulence.

Should I raise or lower it? Should I put a sponge or something in front of it? Does it need cleaned? Any help to get this noise to go away would be much appreciated!

Here is a video of it:

Can’t open video on my phone but assure return tube is under the water
When I had similar unit, I got a piece of pipe from Home Depot and added to the output and SILENCE

I couldn't see a silencer anywhere?
