Reducing White Light

I have a 20 gallon cube reef tank with softies, a few LPS, and a bubble tip anemone. When I first set up the tank and had no colorful coral, I set the light (AI prime 16hd) to a very white color. I modified the saxby preset to add in quite a bit of cool white. Now that I have kept the cheaper/drab corals without issue and have graduated onto more expensive florescent corals, and would like to switch back to a more blue hue so I can enjoy the colors more. Since white light isn't as photosynthetically important as the blues, can I just lower it all at once without issue, or do I need to adjust it slowly? I will not be changing the blues or other spectrums at all, just the cool white channel.

Any change you do to your tank should be slow so as not to shock the inhabitants you have in it.

Not a big deal to back off the whites rather quickly IMHO. To be safe, just back off a few % a day until you have them where you want them visually.
