I would test your nutrients - and then ask the questionSo i have neglected my 220 for almost a year now i nkjow my nutrients are through the roof u guys think it would b good idea or just start all over?

I am running a large skimmer algea turf scrubber and biopellets . I have not been keeping up on these i have toped off with more biopellets and cleaned pumps must have not been working right i am gonna start running more gfo to lower po4s . Mynplan is to get everything steady again do 75 gallon water changes every week . Get levels low do icp add whatever is needed and try adding corals again.I would not start over at that tank volume. Just dose carbon like ethanol or vinegar (slowly) to bring the nitrates down to 10 and use something like rowaphos to bring phosphates down to 0.1. Do this slowly over course of a month or two. It cannot be done instantly because it takes time (-1 month) for bacteria to adjust/grow to the carbon source. Make sure your skimmer is running well. Consider running a denitrator.
If you did a major water change(s) - you can get the No3 and PO4 to wherever you want them - what is the problem with the tank? (i.e. why start over)?No3 s 80 po4 about 1.5
