Reef 100.3 vs Marine X 110.4

Hello everyone,

I'm considering getting a waterbox aquarium and currently struggling between the kind of tank to get.

Looking for opinions here and suggestions from anyone that has either one.

Marine X:
47.2"×19.7"×21.7"
105.3 gals - total volume

Reef 100.3
35.4"×23.6"×21.7"
102.4 gals - total volume

Would you recommend going with a longer tank?

Does the 4 inch depth outweigh the length that I'm losing ?

I had the same debate. There is a $500 difference in Canada so I said no and went with the 90.3 vs. the 100.3. The Marine X 110 gets you 4' and space undedr the stand for gear, but I just didn't not have the 4' of room.

FWIW if you go on the Waterbox site all MarineX tanks say 'unavailable for order'.

Did you end up going with 90.3 or 100? I think the 3ft would look better in the space that I have but wasn’t sure if I went 3ft that would limit the fish selection.

I went with the 90.3 because of space limitations. The 4' would be better if you have the room. Only thing it really eliminates in my opinion that I have always had are a few Tangs. My previous tank was a 220 so I would never put a single tang of any species in a 3' tank. Just my opinions though, others will have a different one.
