Reef 110

Hello! Does anyone have the reef Octopus 110? I bought it used and it was working. I put it in my sump and its not skimming. I have tried everything at this point. Any tricks? My tank is about 9 months old. Should have plenty to skim.

The first thing to check is if you have the correct water level in that chamber (usually between 7.5-8.5"). Have you read through the instructions and dialed in the airflow? Ideally you want the white foam bubbling up just under the bottom of your collection cup.

I did but still not getting any foam or bubbling. I pulled the pump abd am cleaning really well now. Do you have any idea what size hose I need from the pump to the silencer? That's be my problem. It did not come w that hose. Thanks for replying!!

that hose is venturi air tube. It's essential to make the skimmer work properly as it controls the air intake. No air intake , no bubbles

That's my problem. Ugh! Thanks so much. The guy i bought it from said it worked totally fine with out it. Clearly it didn't. I will order one. Thanks for replying
