Does anyone have any recommendations for which free reef Apps are good for someone new to the hobby to help keep me organized with notes & tracking parameters, live goods etc.? I ve looked into a bunch of them but can't determine which is a good one to start with.

Hey I'm a true newbie. Literally been in since jan 29th and i found an app called aquanote that is super amazing. You can track your parameters, notes on maintanance that you've done, you can even set parameter guidelines on what you want your target reef numbers to be. Heck you can even track multiple aquariums on the same app. I think it's great. You can even export your parameters via email or if you're like me, make a paper copy for hard copy file.

Your expenses and dry goods and even helps with dosing calculations. Check it out

I log most stuff in a note book and keep it near my tank. When I need to go back to it, can simply flip the page even when hand is wet for a quick check.

Reef@Reef and an Excel spreadsheet.

I can't find Following - is that for Droid?
I'm sorry buddy. I gave you a wrong name. It's aquarium note.

This is what i use. It's user friendly and great for us newbies

I use Aquarimate. Easily track all parameter and will graph them for you too. You can also track expenses and livestock as well. The livestock can also have individual timelines tagged to them for progressive growth shots if you like.

I agree. I tried it and DID NOT like it at all. Aquarium note is an awesome app. Enjoy
Hey, what is the relevance of the number they assign next to the live goods? For example, next to my Coral Beauty, they put a D+14 ?

Using Aquarimate. Love the graphs it gives from readings so a nice overview on trends when things go bad. Also you can back things up just in case u change mobiles...

Aquatic log. I use it mainly for the reminder feature and a good server for hosting pics. Will record and graph anything you need.
