Hello all 2 day when my light went on the tank was cloudy.
All I did was change my carbon couple days ago. Yesterday I fed mysis and some pellets and I had extra so I kept it in a jar with some salt water and put in the fridge and fed them in the morning. Could it be the food made the tank cloudy?
Had this tank for about 8month .there are some bubbles also on the surface of the aquarium but very little.
Is this something in should be worried about. Is it a bacterial bloom or something else.

I am wondering if the pellets and mysis were being broken down and resulted in you putting some decaying matter causing a bacterial bloom. I would just do a decent water change

They were covered and in the fridge . And not for long time less then a day. So I should do a water chnage I did one recently less then a week ago :((

You can also try adding some bottled bacteria like Dr Tim's, Seachem Stability or Biospira. If it's a bacteria bloom that can set it right some times and it's an easy thing to start with.

What if I do nothing and wait can it be solved my time or is it risky?or dangerous to corals and fish

Most of the time it is not dangerous if the fish are not gasping for oxygen or showing other signs of distress. Check the coral too see if they are closed up and shrivelled which would indicate that they are in distress. If everything looks normal then you could add filter floss, or have your skimmer running at peak efficiency and wait it out.

I think it was the pellets. You don't want to store and feed wet pellets. I'm guessing some of the nutrients leached out of them, into your water, and caused a bacterial bloom. It should clear up on its own, but only store pellets dry in the future!

All my corals look good except the Duncan. Its mouth open and looks diflated but my Duncan always acting cute ... dunno what's its problem may need to chnage it location . But everything else is good I'll keep an eye out and see. Fish seem good also.

Good luck Guss!

Maybe give Dr. Tim's Eco-Balance a shot. If this is a bacteria bloom, the Eco-Balance will add probiotics and good bacteria + remove bad bacteria from the tank water

Bacterial bloom likely. Chemipure blue or Elite will help with this and also keep phos and nitrate in check

Maybe but I would expect the bacterias in a bottle to be better. Prime won't hurt.
Didnt find it here I live in Dubai. There is only one good aquarium shop and they didnt have it
