I would like to ask advice about how to control a problem im having with flea's around my reef aquariums. Both of my refugiums are on the floor and i have cats that have brought in fleas and in scared to use chemicals around my aquariums or even on my cats because if shedding cat hair. Foggers are out of the question so what can i do and use?? Any advice would be appreciated.

Use a spot on treatment such as Frontline, catego, or advantix, they absorb into the skin so after a few days the shedding hair shouldn't be an issue. I have also heard excellent things about the seresto collars also and then you wouldn't have to worry about the hair at all. Dont waste your money on hartz or Sargeant or any other cheap brand. I've never seen them work and then you have to spend more for the stuff that does work. Vacuum vacumm vacuum, especially around furniture and baseboard, then immediately empty the canister in your outside garbage. You definitely don't want to wait because they will take over your house and make you miserable.
