Hi all

I've just purchased the Reef Breeder Photon V2 50 and wow, am I impressed. The design is slim and sleek, packed with tons of blue and royal blue LEDS. With 6 channels, I'm running a program that is similar to Coral Labas AB+. In addition, the previous ATI t5 hanging kit is compatible with the reef breeder so no additional drilling. At this price, this is a no brainer.

I have no problems growing any kind of sps with this bad boy.

So far I am impressed too. I am about a month in and my sps are responding well. I had a few pieces brown out due to some water chemistry (tank transfer) before this light. I'm already getting color back and seeing some growth with the photon. Switched to this light from t5s.

I just got the same light but 48" for my 48x24x24 tank. I tested par with seneye and at 30% I was getting 75-80 par at the sand. Towards the top was 250-300... I don't grow sps (yet) but I think its more than safe to say you wouldn't have any issues as far as PAR with this light for sure.

Have any of your run Radions before? Thinking I may go RB for the new tank. How would you say these compare to Radions?

These lights are pretty awesome. I believe Battle Corals uses them. In addition, the hanging kit and wireless controller is included. I was considering the radions but at double the price.....

I checked these out just now and they look nice but I have a question. I understand they have a remote for changing the settings but where is the display to see what your changing? My R420r has a small led, Radions and AI use an online program but what do these use to visualize what your doing? Pics would help if possible.

The display is on the hand held remote.

Comes with preset modes and you can input a custom program

On my new build I’ve been debating between Radion and AI. I might have to give this one some consideration.

I would. Good lights at a good price. What I really like is that the light doesn't come from 1 puck. The light is distributed down the length of the 48" fixture

I keep reading people talk about the blues in them. How blue is it compared to other brands? It’s hard to tell from photos

I feel like it's not as blue as radions. If that's what your asking. But it's plenty blue enough

These lights are awesome. I've been running them on my sps tank for 6 months and my growth and color is amazing. That being said, I want to play with T5 + kessil a360WE, so I have a 5 month old 24" reefbreeder I want to sell or trade to someone if they are intrested. Trying to get $300 for the fixture or trade for used a360we.
