I'm running the V1 on top of a canopy that sits about 4 inches above the tank and maybe 6" about the water level. My tank is also a bit taller so some of my corals are further away from the light source. I've been running my lights at 50 blue and 10 white for the longest but somehow convinced myself that it should be higher. Took the blues up to about 70 at one point but had noticeable bleaching. Since then, I'm back down to 60 at peak. Does anyone have experience with this old light? What did you run yours at? Please let me know even if it’s a different setup than mine. I cant seem to find any good info since the light is so old. It still works well enough for me so I dont see myself changing until I upgrade to a larger tank. Any info would be appreciated.

I understand that other people’s settings won’t necessarily apply to my setup. Just looking for a frame of reference. No one on the planet seems to still use this ancient light but me.

I think you are going to have a hard time finding comparative settings when your light is so close to the water.

Most photons are mounted 12 or so inches above the water line. However, if you are talking the old black boxes, check on Facebook. There used to be a black box group that had those things nailed down.
