Came back home yesterday from vacation and noticed my photon v2 50 was not on so I manually turned it on. This morning it didn't turn on again so i had to manually turn it back on. Now this has happened once before about a month ago until I reset the whole thing. Now looks like ill have to reset and redo the timers all over again. It will turn itself off, but just not turn on. Anyone having this issue and how to resolve it? Thanks alot.

It is possible there is an issue with the controller or associated board. My v2 was a tad touchy and did the same as yours a couple times when I first got it (used 5 months old). It would fail to turn on or lose time and turn on late. I upgraded it to the V2+ and haven't had an issue since. I'd contact Logan at RB and see what he says.

Well then.. Hmm.. Have you disconnected the power to the light at all during this? If not try disconnecting the power for 5-10 minutes then reset the controller and set it all back up. If it still acts up after that then there is likely an issue with the small V2+ control board. I believe these lights have a 2 year warranty on them, so you will want to reach out to Logan at Reef Breeders. He may be able to send you the replacement parts instead of sending the light in after diagnosing it with him.
Didn't turn on again this morning so I unplugged for about an hour. Going to reset it again and hopefully it last longer than last time. Ive only had for a couple of months so if it start acting up again ill have to do something about warranty. Just dont want to send it in with no lights on my tank. =/

Hopefully you will get it worked out. How big is your tank? It may be worthwhile to get an inexpensive temp light to have as an emergency spare. I have a 48" 10K Beamswork FOWLER light as a spare. It's the 1w led version. I ran one of those over my 40 for nearly 2 years and it did great. They are crazy cheap and can be found on Ebay and Amazon.
