I've had my new tank running since mid November with reef breeders from day one.. Corals love it. Just start low and bring up the power slowly and you'll be fine.. I'm getting good growth and great color.
I'm new to the saltwater game as I did freshwater for a long time. I recently converted my 125gallon to saltwater. I was planning on doing a fish only with live rock , but a friend convinced me to add a few easier/hardy corals. I plan on also doing a carpet for the clowns when I add them. I wanna do things right from the start and it just makes sense to go LED. My tank is 72 1/2" wide ..18" deep... It looks like the reefbreeders is the best bang for the buck being 2 32" fixtures ...also saw the maxspect razor was rated very well but it's only a 43.5" fixture for the same price as the reefbreeders/evergrow. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I am anxiously anticipating my new Photon24. When I placed my order I made a typo on my address. I wasn't sure if the fix worked so I shot RB a quick email explaining my problem. Logan called me literally within one minute to let me know he fixed it! Clearly the fastest and most helpful response EVER in my 10+ years of reef keeping.
I study my possibilities like a general plots his next move on the battlefield. That being said I was seriously headed in the direction of a Maxspect Razor. They make a great product. I happened to be buying some frags from a local hobbies when I noticed his Reefbreeders lights. He told me basically he had no intention of becoming a frag dealer, but with his new lights his coral growth in his words "exploded".He told me get full add spectrum lighting. Reefbreeders got my vote. I ordered a Photon24.
I have a 48 on my 120 and a 48 on my 75. They have been awesome now for about 8 months. The programming is easy and all corals have grown more than they ever did with metal halides.
