I have a question. Do these kits increase the spread at all? I just set up a red sea 625xxl. I have 2 xr15 gen 5s. Instead of adding another light I was considering adding these kits to each one. I know I can "get by" with 2 radions. I really want to stick with 2 mounting arms and was wondering if these will help fill the spread a little. Thanks

I seen them in person on xr15 g4 pros they do u get over powerd if run a lot of white leds.I have 3 xr15 g5 pros and 2 4 foot reef bars that have 36 blue leds per bar on a 5 foot tank and it takes about 50 percent whites to over power the blue in my tank and if I run less whites my tanks looks like blue dye in the tank to much for my taste

I thought about getting the kits for my XR15 gen 5 blues just last week , but in the end went with a ReefBrite XHO blue strip. I bought a aluminum bar1/8" thick x 1inch wide x 3 foot long) and screwed the brackets the light comes with to the bar,put the bar on top the XR15 mounts and the XHO hangs at the same level as the XR15s. I like the blue light as does my corals.

So you have the reef Brite sitting in between both of your light mounts resting on the top?

No behind it and it goes the length of the tank. I'll get a picture tomorrow and post it.
Ok thanks. My lfs has a 5 footer in stock. He was trying to explain how I could mount it but it went right over my head.

Here's the pictures: Got the aluminum bar at Lowes. Bar is zip tided to the XR15 mounts.

Oh, I bought a 30" light as that's how long my tank is, but that's not what I got. Nope I GOT a 36" light that hangs over each end of the tank by 2.5". The bright note is the LEDs in the fixture are 30" long and I get light right to the edges and I paid $50.00 less for the light. I really like the broadcast of the light as the LEDs don't have lens just a reflector.
I think from this picture you can figure out why I got what I GOT.

Thanks for the pics. Looks good I'll probably do something very similar. I'm probably going to set it up on a timer and use the dimmer. I can't find much about their app that you can access with the Bluetooth unit.

I bought and use a timer and at present run it 6 hours a day. I bought the dimmer but found I have to run the ReefBrite light at 100% to really add anything to the XR15s as I run those at 65%.
