Six clues today:

1) The majority of reefers do NOT use me.

2) I can be pretty “spicy.“

3) I am a liquid.

4) Sometimes iron can be an impurity of mine.

5) You won’t find me for sale in an LFS.

6) I can lower things.

What am I?

I tried to remove hint #7, but I’ll just give it anyway.

Bonus hint #7: I’m inside of you

Wait is hydrogen peroxide spicy?
I’d say it’s a little spicy.

Bump. I haven’t seen the answer I was looking for yet! This one should be easier than the ones I did before!

I'll acuall try for this one.

Maybe vinegar?
I'm not good at biology. Haven't taken chemistry yet and don't dose anything.
You are getting warmer! Nice. :)

I’d say this liquid is more of an advanced reefer’s usage. You won’t often see beginners using it.

muriatic acid?
I've heard of some pepole using it. Could be missreading the fourms on it but.
Correct! Muriatic acid was the answer I was looking for! :)

1) The majority of reefers do NOT use me.
Muriatic acid is not commonly used by reefers.

2) I can be pretty “spicy.“
Muriatic acid has a pH of 1. It’s very reactive and lets off fumes just by opening a bottle. I’d say it has a “spicy” attitude (acidic)

3) I am a liquid.
Self explanatory

4) Sometimes iron can be an impurity of mine.
Muriatic acid, especially from a home improvement store, usually contains iron as an impurity.

5) You won’t find me for sale in an LFS.
Nope, they don’t sell muriatic acid there

6) I can lower things.
Muriatic acid will lower alkalinity and pH when added to seawater.

7) I am inside of you
Humans contain hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid) in our stomachs to digest food. Did you
know our stomachs don’t get burned from the acid because of the protective mucous layer?

I’m going to ask @Randy Holmes-Farley to continue the reef puzzles from here on out. I just wanted to do some for fun, and I think I’m pretty content with the few that I did. I definitely have a new appreciation for these puzzles. Coming up with the puzzles was a fun challenge. :)

I wish I was knowledgeable enough to come up with one of theese.

But I honestly can't think of any chemical thing to do. Only animal.
While coming up with the few puzzles I did, there were many times I wanted to invent “reef biology puzzles” lol

I tend to form the questions around the answer that I wanted to use, and I found myself gravitating toward animals and specific organisms as the answers lol.

You should do that!!!
