Reef Cleaner Crew Ideas!

Hey guys :nerd:, just placed an order for my cleaner crew! I used Livaquaria.com for this one since they had a special for free shipping with reef cleaner crews $75+. I spent $76 and was pretty happy . They are going in a 46 gallo bowfront, that has been running for about a month, completely cycled, introducing them tomorrow, then first fish going in next week. Let me know what you think, if I should add anything, replace anything, etc.


12 Dwarf Blue Leg Hermit
10 Astraea Turbo Snail
2 Scarlet Reef Hermit
5 Mexican Turbo Snail
5 Dwarf Red Tip Hermit Crab
5 Cerith Snail
1 Sally Lightfoot Crab
1 Banded Coral Shrimp
5 Margarita Snail
5 Banded Trochus Snail
5 Dwarf Zebra Hermit
and 5 Bumble Bee Snail.

I always like to just add a starter copepod population into the tank.

Looks pretty good for an empty tank . Just needs a cleaning and is ready to slowly become a reef

Copepods are there My refugium was seeded with agred live sand and chaeto out of an established system

Unless you increase your nutrient load by several orders of magnitude, you're going to kill most of that list through starvation. The hermits will eat any snails, and then they will cannibalize once they have finished off the snails. Your tank is too clean.

Even with supplemental feeding? I have yet to lose a cleaner crew when supplemental feeding with krill/shrimp in the early stages of the system

The only non-algaevores on that list are the hermits and the shrimp (which is not really a cleanup crew member).

I forgot to mention Nori, I have yet to have snail or hermit turn down the seaweed
