whose using reef crystal, IO been testing my mag with red sea foundation and my mag is HIGH 1700 or more ... not sure if red sea mag test kit is not so good ? what can high MAG affect in corals or chemistry ?

I was getting a very high 1600 Mg reading with my Red Sea Test kit. I just got in a Saflifert MG kit and it was 1350 I tested it twice with the Salifert

LOL , i might have made a mistake , when you test with red sea pro (mag) and alk and ca , you dont read the reagent level on the ml mark, but the plunger top the black peiece right ?

Right, and make sure to follow the instructions on the card very well! Commonly done wrong
