Great deal but I’ve moved away from the crystals…
that brown precipitation is annoying, does anyone else get that too?
any tips to avoid it?

This post isn't meant to be a 'which salt is better' thread. It's simply letting people that use reef crystals know it's on sale. Use a prefilter on your mixing pump and you won't see brown stuff in your container.

yep.. get the brown clay floaters as well.. running the water through a filter cleans it out. I believe it is harmless but i get your point. BRS did a salt compare video on this... FRITZ is WAY worse... but again, i dont think it matters to the fish/corals.. a sock filter clears it up.. and i've been successful with all the salts..
