So... Update to the original post:
I've been using the diapers for a while now. I think I've leveled off the nitrates at about 4.0 with the increase in coral feeding (The corals think I'm amazing, and who am I to argue), but something unexpected has occurred. My phosphates (which have been rock solid at +/- .1 forever) have dropped to less than .08. Once again, I can't attribute this to the diapers, but once again I do.
This time, I just don't get it. With the increase in nutrient import, I can't fathom how I can increase nitrates and have a decrease in phosphates just by trading my socks for the diapers. My mind tells me there must be something else going on, but I can't figure out what it could be.
Everything else seems to be consistent. Alk/Cal consumption, etc... If anyone has a theory, I'd love to hear it.
@Reef Diaper, if you have a theory, lay it on me.
Whatever it is, I'm kinda likin it.
