On the main tank I am running the ATI Powermodule 6x39w. The frag tank I have a combination of 4x54w T5s and two Rapid LED Onyx fixtures.

Life has been crazy busy for me. I'm just glad I had some time to work on the tank. DT is a mess right now since I've been concentrating on the frag tank more. Seems like the addition of the frag tank started a mini-cycle. Added a clean up crew, scopas tang, and a lawnmower blenny which took care of all that. Also, another thing that was really bugging me was the fact that I had tiles sitting lopsided on each other since they were not perfect fit. Joshporksandwich lended me his tile cutter, glad it's finally done now. My frag racks all sit level now!
Calcium reactor is awesome, I'll probably never go back to two part. Not sure if its the added water volume to the system, but parameters are dead on now. Just need to work on getting my phosphates down to .05 or so, currently at .12 which I'm not complaining about at all. I've added another algae scrubber to the system, SURF2 in addition to the HOG1. Hope to see this bring down the phosphates but I doubt it will be enough. Will be picking up GFO and running that in a reactor. Looking to eventually get off of the bio-pellets soon.

It's been a long time since I've updated, BUT I'm coming back. My girlfriend has been keeping me busy.

Love your frag tank and watching it being built. If you have the time, please post some pics/info of your new algae scrubber. Also elaborate on why you're getting off biopellets. Thanks!

Thanks, the frag tank is banging! I've never seen such great colors and growth. I'm very happy with it, so much that the main tank was not looking good and I've been wanting to redo it. It's too bad I did take pictures in the process of doing it.
As for the algae scrubbers, I decided to go this route along with the continuous water change system. With the two of them, nutrients should be able to be kept at bay. The bio-pellets was a roller coaster ride. Sometimes it would be too much, other times not enough. Two times I've almost crashed the system due to low nutrients. For me, avoid it at all cost.
Few other things happened lately which I'm stepping things up to stabilize things.

Here's why I'm using algae scrubbers and taking the bio-pellets out:
It's thick! The HOG scrubber grew so much that it attached to the glass since I neglected to clean it. Had to scrape the remaining off.

The reboot of my display tank, I'm so much more happy with it now. This will give the corals a chance to grow now. Before it was a rock wall and the lack of flow being able to pass through was a big negative. I decided to go minimalist on the rocks, used mostly tonga and one nice sized pukani. Threw out all the sand, removed the NASTY egg crate that was in it. It was a long process, kind of suck since I had to cut off my colonies and remount them. Don't mind the frags, it was much cleaner but I went to town on some overgrown stuff from the frag tank. Gotta hank my special someone, my girlfriend for pushing me to do it while she was back in the states.
More updates later, getting back into the swing of things since my girlfriend left back to medical school... more free time!
