It occurred to me today as I dosed Red Sea Reef Energy AB+ that directions for dosing are based on tank size and not coral population. If you have a 60g tank with one Zoa, and follow the directions, you would dump appx 10ml daily of proteins, carbs and trace elements without regard to coral uptake.

Shouldn't the dosage correspond with coral population? Anyone have thoughts on this?

I agree for sure. That's why I do reef roids and just put enough to spot feed each of my corals. When I get more into the system then I broadcast feed. Ab+ is more of a trace dose than an actual food imo. It has its place, but small population tanks are not it imo.

No. That one coral will be only a minor sink for what you dose. I expect those ingredients are used about a fast in a tank with one coral as the same tank with 100 corals.

I guess this makes me wonder if you feel the product is beneficial or not?
I personally use it on my mixed reef every 3- days or so by broadcasting

I don't know, but it might be.

Just realize that if you dose any product containing what this one claims:

"amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins, and carbohydrates"

that lots of organisms will consume it, and perhaps the primary user will be bacteria.
