yes you have to connect it to your laptop. Preferred it over the WiFi. Didn’t like my WiFi version.

Rodney it's me again Willie I'm thinking of maybe staying with my 24" tank which is a waterbox 40.2 ATI wants 70 dollars for acrylic and 40 dollars for hanging kit and I am told that ups shipping can get crazy. Can you find out how much shipping would be so I can figure out if it make's sense. Thanks

The ATI acrylic is expensive because the specific size (i think its 4mm) is not available in the US. You could probably get away with using 3/16 polycarbonate.
