Hey, I have a 75g reef tank and I'm looking for a few more fish.

My current livestock
- yellow tang
- clownfish (2)
- firefish (2)
- orange spotted goby (2)

I want a fish on the bigger side but I really can't spend too much right now, any ideas?

The tang you have might not be too friendly to any new tangs in that size tank especially.
There is a rabbit that is supposed to meet those min dims, and I think foxface, but if it were me I'd probably lean towards smaller fish additions like royal gramma, tailspot blenny, something along those lines.

Foxface comes to mind.

If you can get one that is already eating or can supply blackworms or feel confident in training it to eat frozen foods.. a copperband butterfly.

Not really big but angel dwarfs

Look at some wrasses which can grow relatively big (long). I like my melanarus wrasse which is pretty fat.

Im sure there are more but these are ones off the top of my head (and are currently in my tank!)

I would go with more docile temperament fish so you can get more territorial and somewhat aggressive ones later.

Wrasses could work, many are not that expensive - look into some of the reef safe ones on live aquaria to give yourself an idea. Mccoskers for example. If you’re ok with CuC being eaten then Melanurus or yellow “coris” could work (as long as you have sand).

Flame hawkfish and longnose could work, fang blennies aren’t big but do swim around. A starki damsel could work well, expensive for a damse but beautiful and not insanely aggressive.

If you’re willing to risk a coral nipper than coral beauty or flame angel could work.

I think you’re more likely to have issues with aggression between the tang and clowns (what kind are they?) than bioload issues, would could be addressed by increasing filtration or water changes.

Long nosed hawk; interesting, colorful and different from what you already have.

I did have a kole tang with my yellow tang and they were very peaceful to each other. Although, I probably will not get another tang just so I can be sure there won't be any issues.

I really do like the idea of a one spot fox face though. Ive done some research and I think I can handle one.
